Thixotropic, substantially solventfree,
aqueous pigmented two-component
polyurethane polyurea dispersions
with substantially reduced or no
pigment flooding or floating have
been patented by Air Products and
Chemicals.
The dispersions are based on a
blend of aqueous polymeric emulsion
and an aqueous pigmented polyolamine
composition containing acidic
polyols and non-acidic polyols with
amines, polyisocyanates , pigments,
and a polymeric emulsion as a
thixotrope, eg. containing polymerized
methyl methacrylate, acrylic acid
(salts) and n-butyl acrylate.
